これまで日本映画界は、数々の人気漫画を実写映画にしてきた。そのラインナップを見るだけでも、この国の映画業界がいかにチャレンジ精神に満ちているか、よくわかるといいうものだ。誰が見ても失敗するのが明らかなのに、果敢に挑戦を続けては討ち死にする。その勇姿はまるで、毎回記録1cmで沈みゆく、鳥人間コンテストのウケ狙い出場者のようでもある。
